I apologize for taking an extra 2 weeks to post the results from the SMSW4 race, back in early December. The holiday noose started to tighten much earlier than usual, and before I knew it I was procrastinating left and right.

Start: Bow and Arrow, 12noon, December 5th.
Format: Race to supermarkets listed on manifest and purchase food items listed on manifest.
Categories: Speed (for those that want to go fast) and Cargo (for those that want to haul)
Before / After: Dirty Dave wins again
A short history on this race, since it is one that is close to my own heart both as an organizer and as a hippy.

We got into Tokyo on Saturday evening. The flight form SF was amazing. Japan airline is my favorite airline now, they did not hassle with me about the large bike cases I have with me, no question about what in the cases, no large baggage fee charge. I think it is because I paced the box and did not go over the 50lb weight limit. I brought Alex Moulton for my girlfriend, and the Track bike for myself. We checked in at Westin hotel in Ebisu. Sunday we got up real early to build the bike and hit the road.
Finally- landed in Bangkok- I’ll be here for two months!
I just wanted to say ”thanks” to all my friends in San Francisco who, in the last minutes before my departure, equipped me with all these goodies needed for CycleZine to organize a very big alleycat race here in Bangkok. Please stay tuned for the schedule.

Here’s a little vid from this year’s Westside Invite Trick Comp.
The Westside Invite has been going down in Portland for the past 8 years, this year it hit Seattle. 8 years straight is a pretty damn good accomplishment if you ask us.
This year it took place over May 25th through 26th with with events like Goldsprints, Alleycats, Footdown, Bike Polo, and trick comps. We found the above video over at the Zlog Blog. It’s a nice little cut down of some of the highlights from the trick comp. I think we have a little fondness for the Keo Jumps!

July 4th at 3pm- Come to SF and have a blast. This race is for messengers and non-messengers alike, although it’s not for the faint of heart. This yearly race has been known to be unforgiving, looooong and will take you to the nether regions of our fine city. More information and a schedule will follow shortly, but for now:
