I stopped by Rapha Cycle Club today to check out the place.. I really like it, bikes, clothes, coffee and tons of cycling books. The spot is real nice and airy with two big flat screens showing bikes. Tomorrow Thursday will be another sunny day in SF, 7pm they will be showing some Eddy Merckx… did I hear beer?…

On April 30, San Francisco’s Justin Herman Plaza will serve as the setting for a collision of fixed gear biking and urban contemporary art, creating a visually exciting and awe-inspiring event called Red Bull Ride + Style.
The event will feature riders facing off in both track and freestyle competitions, with the obstacles designed and decorated by local San Francisco artists. Red Bull Ride + Style will bring together more than 50 riders from both coasts, with riders from fixed gear meccas San Francisco, Portland and New York competing, as well as riders from Japan.

Rapha San Francisco
The Rapha Cycle Club returns to North American soil this summer in San Francisco. Launching with the start of the Giro d’ Italia, the San Francisco Cycle Club will be the meeting place for any cyclist passionate about riding, racing and the culture of cycling. The Cycle Club will feature live coverage of both Grand Tours, a complete library of cycling magazines and books, weekly group rides, an evolving gallery of cycling photography and ephemera, and the full offering of Rapha products. Just 10 minutes ride from the Golden Gate Bridge, and with a steady schedule of unique cycling events planned — including weekly showings of great cycling films — the SF Cycle Club should be a hub for every rider this summer.

Rally Cat is on for next weekend! Check the blog early next week for an update on start location.

Nick Waterhouse and the Tarots will be playing later in the night. Great drink specials all night. A portion of the proceeds go to the SF Bike Messenger Association’s Broken Bones Fund.

Hi !
I am pleased to inform you that the County Council of Maine-et-Loire will organize the “Anjou Vélo Vintage” which is a Vélo-retro vintage Bicycle event. It will take place along the Loire valley, France on the 19th of June 2011.
This French original and friendly event will gather all the people interested in the retro bicycles, fixies, single speeds… It also concerns the nostalgics of the legends of cycling racing and vintage lovers.
6 commentsI am so glad that we showed up to the event. The atmosphere was really welcoming. There were variety of bicycles from almost every time period and style. Road, track, ranndo, touring, cruiser, BMX and fixed gears. Many ex Thai National racers showed and shared their experiences during the symposium. There were swap meet going on as well. I hope to see more event like this in Thailand….
