  • Good morning San Francisco and welcome to the first motorcycle post on our site!  Actually, I just want to share a very lovely encounter that I had with a  fellow San Franciscan that I ran into last Sunday.

So, yesterday after I rode some bike and took some photos of the bike race, I decided to ride alone for a bit.

I stopped in my tracks at 11th Avenue and Clement where I saw this black BMW motorcycle with sidecar parked on the road where the owner was trying to load stuff into the sidecar. The owner of the bike was this older Japanese guy, and he has lived in San Francisco for 40 years. He grew up in China so he had a Chinese name. I asked if I could take a picture of him and his bike, and he was nice enough to let me take a snap. We spoke about how we love this city so much and it’s probably one of the nicest place to be, and why I had been living in SF for 11 years and he lived in SF for 40 years and doesn’t want to move elsewhere. We had a very good long conversation about various things; life, health, the weather, the environment, the City.

At the end, he gave me his business card, which is a very beautiful writing in Japanese style, (please see attached photo) His name is Eastsun Wang. He’s a photographer and teaches rock art in Chinatown where he has an art gallery. He also teaches Tomahawk, which I might try to learn and flute. It was a very wonderful random experience to meet such a wonderful and interesting person, he asked me to stop by and chitchat with him in his gallery sometime. I hope you all enjoying the beautiful weather we are having here in the Bay Area.. Have a good week everyone, and remember to pause and let something nice happen to you.  When you ride your bike, you sometimes must stop to let a story happen!  If I had not stopped, I would have missed meeting this man and hearing his great story.

and to top it off with more sweet brown sugar glazing…..  soak in the wonderful voice of Louise Armstrong…

    Luv xxxx
