As promised - I have uploaded another twenty pictures from a visit to Cycle Square. Last month we went over to Cycle Square in Tokyo to check out the spot and see Erik’s exhibition.
Cycle Square is in Sendagaya, which not too far from Shinjuku and a bit north of Shibuya. It’s a quieter neighborhood, surrounded by several parks and garden such as Shinjuku Gyoen National garden, Yoyogi Park and Aoyama Cemetery. A very tranquil place to be.

Vancouver is a rainy city, and the corner of Main and Hastings attracts a pile of people waiting to buy more of, or come down off of, some dirty heroin. The sliver of downtown is given over to the junkies, and the alleyways contain them in various states of disrepair: lying down and nodding off, sitting up but nodding off, in the very act of injecting it into the fingertip but just about to nod off, and even a few standing/wobbling and nodding off. Crossing Hastings and continuing towards the water, the litter lessens and the sky emerges.

Entering through the doorway from the street is like walking into a doubly-sweet candy store: skateboards on the left side, and bike-stuff on the right. Pushbike shop has finally opened right on 24th Street, sharing floorspace with Mission Skateboards.
