    2010 Rules & Categories

    The 5th Annual Supermarket Street Sweep is right around the corner! Here are this year’s rules & categories:

    CARGO: The Cargo categories will be for Male/Female.

    Bring back the required food from the stores listed on the manifest. The heaviest load wins first place, so bring back additional food to increase your chances of winning the category. Additional food does not have to be purchased at the stores listed on the manifest. Racers must be at the finish line by 4pm to qualify. Anyone arriving at the finish line after 4pm will be disqualified. Receipts must be presented to prove that you visited all of the required checkpoints and purchased the required goods.

    • Ok, this time our homeboy Ian and Cassy got their bikes stolen from their home in Oakland. You can’t missed the giant Centurion here. Be on the look out for us. Ian is our best friend and his loss is our loss. So let us know if you have any lead on the return of his bikes.

    One of our own had his house broken into today in W. Oakland. His Centurion Ironman townie and his girlfriends Swobo track bike were stolen. Please contact Ian at Box Dog Bikes at 415-431-9627 if you have any information about either bikes.
    PS. Bike thieves die slow painful deaths, and I hope that the two crack rocks that you hope to get for these gets you really high.

    • I couldn’t agree more with you homie. Many will not notice it’s the small thing that help the economy flow. Some city like Bangkok, streets are flocked with motorbike messengers deliveries everything from bag o rice to karats of diamond.

    Yep, that’s right, Pushbike had moved to a new spot on the corner of 22nd St. and Shotwell… We were invited to their friend and family soft opening last week. Yep again, the new store is legit, bigger!! more room to show off goodies. My quick observation is that, Sarah and Ian stay trued, exactly how they first started at their old shop. They only select and offer items that good in quality, durable to use and price that broke ass messengers can buy. I picked up a Modrobes cycling trench coat for my girl. A dark grey with hood, made from recycled material that could stand a light rain for one and a half bill. Oh man, lemme say no more how much she loved it. Ok, there a lots of things going on in the City this week, and if you from out of town, you MUST go to 22nd St. and Shotwell to check Pushbike out. Holler!!
