Zak at CopenhagenCycleChic discusse
d briefly about “Marketing the Bicycle to the Sub-Conscious Environmentalist”.
What do people think about this issue? Do you think it’s a two way win-win progression here? More bike, less pollution… I am gonna leave the rest up to you to decide….
Here’s a snap of me and my Dutch townie. Photo by Brian Raymond….
Yesterday I took my Datsun to get washed, and a snapped of photo-op/assignment sh
ot for you to enjoy. I really want to play with water and hangout. It's going to hit 78F (26 degree C) again today in San Francisco… The weather has been too nice, definitely feels like real Summer. 3 days and counting! I think I will stay inside today… (and work) Hope you all stay hydrated and shaded.

I like this VDO and I
9;m not sure why.. maybe when the girl was checking the biker out? It comes from the Japanese clothing company, Bedwin. I like how the bicycle has become a pitch for many fashion companies. I actually think it is good thing; I want too see more involment between bicycles and fashion because it's always lovely to see cute people riding bikes. Definitely an expression of freedom and sustainability. Happy Friday, San Francisco…

I will tell you; in Thailand, Yellow represents the King. I am all for the King just you know…
one commentSaw this fun VDO over at Tracko. I was going to complain about the cold wind we are experiencing here in the San Francisco Bay Area this morning, but after watching what people over in the East Coast have to go through with, I'd better be quiet now…
This
movie clip is Fun Fun Fun… btw This year NACCC is in Boston, August 1 & 2 2009

Comments OffLast weekend while I was hanging out in the park. I ended up scored this Cinelli priest bar, Cinelli stem, with toshi black leather handlebar wrap combo from a friend for $70. He had it for a mont
h and paid $70, voila.. puck happy, friend was happy..
I must say, this set up is a really fun and fast around town bike. I get to sit up a bit taller help me make all those cute eyes contacts. Also a small size basket from Box Dog bike give just enough room for camera bag. Travis Freight bag beer holster definitely add the swift feel of party on the go.
Fun set up indeed… watch out now.. don't block my way..
and hello warm weather and everything related…
So i think this shot of Johnny and Felice, of whom I ran into around Hayes Valley yesterday a good indication of a warm California weather. Hope you all had a good weekend doing something fun.
This bike popped up on e-bay recently and thanks to Sean, our e-bay master, it won't get away. Here’s link to the e-bay listing HERE!!!.
I hope you hop over to check the price. It will give you a good reality check of what the market rate is for this kind of bike. Sheldon Brown's site does have a page that tell you the estimate price of bikes, but I have not visited that page for a while. We hope this kind of posting will give readers a good sense of cost for this rare type of bike.
Here’s a fine example of a very sought after bike.

Here is what the seller had to say about this Alex Singer:
“Fabulous full chrome bike, 650 B wheels.
Absolute top of the range model, early 50s, with all the best parts and braze-ons. Barn-find condition, untouched, all original except for the stem (sho
uld be a custom AS stem) and saddle.
Check-out all the wonderful Singer bits : quadruple RD braze-on, Singer brakes and rollers, Singer front derailleur, Singer carriers; Singer front light bracket.
Fabulous wheels : Mephisto a bloc rims (perfect logos), superlight spokes, Maxi-Car hubs early two piece type.
Beautiful Stronglight crankset, Cyclo 5 speed to move the chain over to the repose chaine integrated into the rear dropout.
One of the essential qualities of this bike is the exceptional lugwork, on these top chrome bikes a huge amount of work went into filing down the lugs to noting before polishing. They have an almost sculptural quality. You only see this kind of workmanshop on the best Herse or Singer bikes.
Chrome is not perfect but the oxydation is never deep and this would be an esay rechrome if you choose that option. You could also keep the chrome as is, as the original logos are all there and it is beautiful as is, and it would polish/clean up a lot better again with some hard work (this would be my choice, but once the bike is sold it's not up to me to decide).
Postage by economy or priority postage in two packets, one with frame, the other with mudguards and wheels. Economy uninsured to the US 87 euros each packet. Insured priority 118 euros each packet.”
